Costume Gatherings

It is Halloween and last night I was running around trying to get my costume together. Easy right? Wrong. No one in Phoenix carries overalls. My solve? Heading over to Old Navy and buying two pairs of oversized jeans and making my own. They are a bit janky since I made them in a couple hours. But the point is . . . I did it.

Other parts of my costume include:
  1. Yellow shirt - I tried to find a striped one but came up short. I thought about painting stripes, though the time and the mess made me rethink that.
  2. White Converse - Any excuse to buy new shoes . . . I'm in.
  3. Overalls - Again these were not to be found anywhere in Phoenix. So I made them. You can see my attempt here.
  4. Unicorn - I won this at the Arizona State Fair.
  5. Red Scrunchi - This is a vital piece of Agnes' outfit.
  6. Red Buttons - These are for the overalls.
  7. Bangs - Since I don't have any.
  8. Black Hair Spray - I have blonde hair and I'm not permanently dying it black.
Images and video of the work shenanigans are coming soon!

Breast Cancer Walk

Ana coordinated an awesome event this past weekend. She got the office involved in the American Cancer Society's Breast Cancer Walk. It was just a 5k but was a nice opportunity to get out of the office and get to know your coworkers on a different level.

RR 2nd Annual Open House

Last year was just too much fun we had to do it again! On 17 October 2013, we opened our doors and welcomed vendors, clients and close agency friends to check out our view, eat some grub and jump in front of the camera in our photo booth.

It was a great time and can't believe I've been at R&R for over a year now.

We had a football room. Guess where all the boys were . . .

Tea for One

Have you ever wanted just one glass of sun tea? Not wanting to go through the trouble of making a GIANT thing of it. Well, just make one for you. Grab a mason jar fill it with water and throw it in the sun. The good thing about using a normal sized tea bag is that it will flavor smaller amounts of water faster. So, while you aren't having to make as much, you aren't having to wait as long either!

Ronald McDonald House

R&R had the opportunity to prepare dinner for those at the Ronald McDonald House in Downtown Phoenix on Friday night. It was our first charity event since all of us have started at R&R and it was a blast.

Our Fun Committee organized the whole thing. The whole thing means the whole thing. We had to plan a menu, purchase the food, cook the food, decorate and clean-up. This is why I am so proud to work with the people I work with. We broke up all the shopping, cooking, decorating and clean-up.

It was hot as balls in the kitchen while cooking yet we spent the whole time laughing and having a great time bonding outside of the office.

We met people who were in town for their children undergoing treatment at Phoenix Children's Hospital. One family's baby was born a couple months ago and has undergone multiple surgeries for a missing heart valve. Another woman was pregnant and her unborn baby needed heart surgery. The strength these families have is immeasurable.

After going to the Miracle Tour at St.. Joseph's and spending time with the families at the Ronald McDonald House it really puts life and what you have in perspective. I feel incredibly grateful for my life and the things I have.

Check out some of the photos from this great night below.
