The Dead Zone

everyone knows the verizon commercials have been running for a LONG time . . . though i really like the new twist on the deadzone commercials. i think the copy could have been a little better but all in all, i really like the strategic concept behind them.

Age of Symbols and Abbreviations

sometimes i wonder if the guy who came up with those visual games where you have to figure out what the picture plus another picture minus a letter equals . . . went into the t shirt business and moved to pun land.

Who Wouldn't Want One?

so i guess women in germany are getting some support . . . in the fashion of bulletproof bras. sweeet!

BERLIN (Reuters) – Thousands of German policewomen will receive what media have labeled “bullet-proof bras.”
Made of white cotton and featuring the word “Polizei” (Police) along the seam, the bras are meant to better protect police women who wear bullet-proof vests.
“There was a slight safety risk for women wearing normal bras with metal parts underneath a bullet-proof vest,” a police spokesman in the northern city of Hanover said.
“If the vest is hit by a projectile, this can have an impact on the metal bit in the bra underneath and cause injuries.”
Some 3,000 police women working for Germany’s federal police will be equipped with the new bras which feature no metal parts and look like sports bras, the spokesman said.

AGENCY SPY

Hellllo Advertising World

so this is my advertising blog . . . here is where i will take you on my journey of trying to get a job, getting a job (hopefully) and what it is like in the “real world”. I know a lot of grad students have finished school and got a job, there are grads from my class who have jobs and those who are still looking. Hopefully this blog might make it a little easier for those new second years and all of the first years that come in with a million questions such as . . . how does the creative application work? and does the list serve really go out to everyone?
