Yesss, this finally happened. Apparently our computers think RGB (red green blue, a color process) should be autocorrected to not appropriate for work speak. Thank you co-worker for making me cry I was laughing so hard.

She's Crafty: Cork-board Jewelry Display
I am a jeans and tee type of girl through and through. So, naturally, I hate dressing up. One of the parts of dressing up that drives me nuts is untangling necklaces that have been sitting in my dressing table waiting for client meetings.
4. Let dry and then remove the tape.
8. Position hangers and us screws to secure to the back of the frame.
9. Measure wall and hang. Use clear wall tacks in the cork and hang necklaces and bracelets where you would like.
Voila! An appealing and convenient way to access your jewelry.
To solve that problem I started using an old cork board to hang necklaces on. Though a cork board always looks a little strange in the bedroom. Nothing a little paint can't fix. Check out the project below.
1. Use a triangle to mark off the perfect size zig zags.
2. Tape off the lines to every other zig zag.
3. Paint over the zig zags. This may take a couple coats of paint.
4. Let dry and then remove the tape.
5. Tape over the painted zig zags, and repeat step two.
6. Let dry and then remove the tape.
8. Position hangers and us screws to secure to the back of the frame.
9. Measure wall and hang. Use clear wall tacks in the cork and hang necklaces and bracelets where you would like.
Voila! An appealing and convenient way to access your jewelry.

Cory Monteith Passes at 31

It reminded me of Heath Ledgers passing in 2008, he was 28. I was a fan of his and heart broke to hear it was an overdose.
Who's fault is it? Everyone knows how destructive Hollywood is, but is it their responsibility to help celebrities with addictions? And how do you keep celebrities who make so much money and have almost anything thrown at their feet stay clear of destructive behavior?
Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes are probably the first names you think of when you think of Hollywood train wrecks. Probably because they do it publicly.
Can we please stop this? We've lost too many talented people to overdoses. Here are a few listed below.

Creative 1: A** is having hot flashes!
MD: A**, you're too young to be menopausing, you should be menostarting.
Creative 1: Late Bloooooomer. I really hope that happened when you were 12.

Junior Creative Advice: Take Notes
![]() |
| © Mike Rohde - Image from his Moleskin from the 2008 SXSW Interactive Festival |
I just read an article showcasing another reason to take notes. If You Aren't Taking Notes, You Aren't Learning. Another quick article, Mike Rohde SXSW Notes, showcases how much fun it is to put the computer down and take notes with good ol' pen and paper.
It makes so much sense. With the amount of information we take in on a daily basis, there is no way for us to remember it all. Taking notes and organizing those notes will not only make you a Danny Tanner (if you don't know who that is . . . google it) in the making but it will make you a better person and professional.
Some of my favorite excerpts are below, but click the link above and read the whole article.
- "...experts understand simple things deeply. They return to the basics, over and over again. eBay CEO John Donahoe is widely regarded as one of the premier execs in the Valley right now and I'm told is an avid note-taker to boot. He recently said on LinkedIn, "Great leaders are never too proud to learn."
- "I take lots of notes in paper mole skin notebooks; every week or so I go back with a different color pen and circle the key sentences; I then transfer these ideas to Evernote files on my computer; and finally, I blog/tweet/publish/email out the crispest, most important ideas or quotes."
- "My theory: The audience was mostly students. Experts -- or those who have deconstructed what experts do -- take notes. Novices don't see the point."

She's Crafty: Thank You Pots
I like giving thank yous. Especially when people step up to help me complete a project. The two designers, one copywriter, CD and two AEs I work with did just that. So I made these fun pots, I have no idea what they will use them for but I used them to hold tasty chocolate/chocolate cupcakes.
